There are so many things that I want to cover in so little time. Some days, I wish that there were 48 hours in a day instead of just 24 so i could get everything I wanted to get done, done.
First thing I want to talk about is how much I love Shakespeare. One of the characters, who turned out to be Maviolo in disguise, quoted Shakespeare and I was so astounded by how amazing this character is... or was. Never mind that though! He said,"What is in a name that by which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?" That is my favorite line from my dear friend William, slightly cliche and not time period, but I needed to use it!
Second thing, I introduced Maviolo. Let us just say that I am completely in love with this new character. I cannot believe he is one of my mind children though, due to how violent and dastardly evil he is. He is someone that you do not want to mess with or cross at all for that matter. When I introduced him I was so ready to write a song and dance for him, and was about ready to when I realized that I was writing a novel, and not a musical. It would have raised my word count, but I'm going to have someone else sing a song, and that's okay too. I am looking forward to writing scenes between him and Abbygayle.
Third topic of discussion today before I completely abandon myself into this novel again, I have found the theme song for my novel. I was sitting here less than 15 minutes ago, writing my novel and listening to a song. As the music played I realized that the song i was listening to was the theme song that perfectly described my novel. It was the title of this blog post. The song How to Save a Life by The Fray is the theme song of the novel I am presently working on, now.
I am so excited to continue work on this novel having jumped over the hump of 25,000 words. I must say that reaching the first 25,000 words is extremely difficult, but after you have reached them it seems a lot easier. I'm over 26,000 words now!
I bid you all adieu for I shall see you all again with my next blog post.

A look at Maviolo and Lerondon
I am a horrible person! I have not blogged to you guys in two days. I have not had much progress in my book though, so that is my explanation. After a two day hiatus I am a few thousand words behind and I am now starting to catch up. I have done this by talking to great people and listening to great music while I write, which helps an immense deal.
I kept promising that I would let you guys take a loot at my Maviolo character. I also discovered a new character today as well. Although Maviolo is not quite developed just yet, he has been introduced.
Maviolo is the most evil character in this novel, so far. You think of Lord Voldemort... Maviolo is more evil than that! I like to think of him as a Phantom-esque character. He kills people, he takes over people's bodies occasionally, and he wears a mask. How cool is that? I find it extremely cool, but probably only because he is the child of my imagination.
Now, last but not least is my new character named Lorendon. There is not much to him at this moment, much like Maviolo, but he is a very important part of the story. At times he will hold greater importance over Maviolo. He is the chief pawn of Maviolo. He takes over Lorendon's body many times, or will take over Lorendon's body many times if I write my story well. Lorendon is a helpless character, putting trust in far too many people too quickly.
That is a quick look at the characters of Maviolo and Lorendon. I hope you all enjoy reading this and if you have not done so, check out my rant on relationships! I bid you all adieu for I shall see you again with my next blog post.

Story relationships, the awkward stages.
Today, I am dedicating my first post to storybook relationships. I have realized that writing romances can be so extremely awkward! You can sit there wishing your life was like theirs or you can sit there thanking GOD that it isn't.
So I should start on the awkward stage. The awkward stage is when you know that a character wants a relationship but they are either too shy to initiate the relationship or there is everything preventing them from having one. The awkward stage is just very awkward for writers to well... write! It's the hardest too because you do not know what is going to happen to them either. It is also really hard to write a novel when you do not know who will end up with who! I wish Abbygayle would just CHOOSE! So I will resume my rant and explain all the different types of storybook romances that I have knowledge of.
The first kind of relationship is the "and they lived happily ever after" kind. You find these in almost every childhood book, and Disney movies. Who really cares about Disney movies though? Oh wait... me. Enough of that though! Back to this. Who really lives happily ever after though and has absolutely no problems in the relationship or their spouse? Fighting in a relationship is healthy, or so I've been told. Communication is always necessary.
The second kind of relationship is the near perfect relationship you see in a lot of stories. There is a romance happening and there is this one flaw that causes the two characters to be at odds with each other, whether it is if they are of a different race, religion, or if one person is the evil character and one person is the good character. This is closest to real life. One example is West Side Story, you have Tony who is one of the jets and Maria who is "tight" with the sharks. One is white bred American and the other is Puerto Rican. It is a modern version of Romeo and Juliet though, so we all know who ends up dying. :P
The third kind of relationship is the not even close to perfect relationship, it's as far away from a perfect relationship as Pluto is to the Sun(you are still a planet to me!). It's the kind of relationship where the woman of the relationship realizes that the guy is a douche bag but then stays with him anyway. Relationships like this can be extremely creepy too. I like to refer to Twilight for a good example. Edward is a creep and EVERYTHING is a factor in creating their horrible relationship. Did I mention he is a creep? Wait... I did? Edward is constantly putting Bella in danger, trying not to eat her or get her killed by other vampires. What kind of relationship is that and who would be stupid enough to think that is truly romantic?
Fourth, the real life relationship. This is where the characters are so developed and real that the relationship seems like it could happen in real life. Part of me wishes I could write like this. I do not have any good examples of this but I am SURE I have read a book with this kind of relationship in it. There is a good balance of fighting, making up, and true romance. The guy treats the girl well, and when he doesn't he either admits it or is too stupid to realize he's done anything wrong. Real life relationship? I think yes. All real life relationships are not bad, just a lot of them.
This is as many kinds of storybook relationships I can think of at the moment, but when I think of more I will be sure to tell you all. I woke up today and realized,"Wow, I didn't blog yesterday! What's wrong with me?!" I am sorry to have failed you all. I wanted to introduce my character Maviolo today like I promised you all on Thursday, it may still happen, but he has not appeared in the book yet. That is much to my dismay. He is a very elusive creature and does not want to come out and play at the moment. With enough coaxing though... I can get him to come out into the sunlight. ;)
I shall see you all later today because I need to continue writing this novel and do other productive things!

It's like a good action movie.
I have gotten to a point in my book where I just do not want to stop writing. I have been on this tangent of epic proportions since last night when I got back home from Gepetto practice and dress rehearsal for the PND show. I started writing this action scene in in my novel which is really important to my plot and I almost could not stop writing.
I told my friend Jon that writing a good action scene in a book is like watching a great movie where there is an action scene. You realize you have to go to the bathroom right as the action scene comes on and you just sit there waiting for a good place to pause it but you never find a good place to pause it because it is just THAT good and then you pause it after the scene finishes and dash to the bathroom. Do you not love movies like that? I do, but not the having to rush to the bathroom part. :)P Most of the time I do that though I just pause it in a really weird place so the characters are in an odd position or a have a funny face. Not with this novel though, I just cannot stop writing!
So, a few days I gave you guys a character description, or was it yesterday? Well anyway, I gave a character description to you guys and then the characters decided that they were going to deepen their personalities... thanks you guys! This novel is much more fun to write now thanks to my characters, I know so much about them now and how they feel about certain situations.
I learned that Abbygayle has a very weak stomach and that Kai is just pretty much a dumb ass(pardon my french). Kai is a very good character, I am not sure about Jonathan though because he ran away and all, but you guys did not know that now did you?
So, to finish off my post, I bid you all adieu for I shall see you all once again soon with my next blog post! ^-^
P.S. I will introduce Maviolo tomorrow, he is super.freaking.amazing!! Thank you to Jon Bateman for giving me the name! :D

My poor head...
Today, I woke up with a scratched eye, which is not a good way to start a day if you ask me. I can mostly see through the eye that was scratched though!!!!
I decided that I was very stupid to start writing a character description yesterday, you want to know why? Because, after writing 2,113 words yesterday my character's personalities deepened immensely, putting me in a very tough position almost forcing me to write another character description! Alas, I cannot today though and I will tell you a little about my story instead.
Abbygayle is the main character( I used my friend's name and bits of my personality, so this character has a little bit too much awesomeness in her) and she was born to go on this quest to overthrow the Golden Dragon court. She has to go there because when she was born, her family was thrown from the seat of power in the kingdom after so many years of pleasing all the citizens of the kingdom. The court is led by an evil dictator named Maviolo, who Abbygayle must destroy, but she cannot. Maviolo led a revolt through the city and took the throne the night of her birth, not before killing Abbygayle's mother and father though.
At this point in my novel, Abbygayle has come to the city under the cover of night with Jonathan Bartholomew but is soon kidnapped. She is rescued by Kai shortly thereafter and he helps her come up with a disguise to go throughout the city unnoticed, for she is a wanted "criminal" in Lebentod(that's the name of the city) and would be captured and killed if she was caught by the guard. The guard is a group of evil knights, Kai belonging to them but Abbygayle does not know this, who are under the command of Maviolo. Kai does not tell Abbygayle this, but gains her trust in the meantime.
I really want to tell you guys what happens to Jonathan after he gets lost from Abbygayle, but you will all just have to wait to read the actual book now won't you? I was really unimpressed with my book when I started writing it because of how slow paced it was, but now it's really fast paced and I love it and the conflict is rising quickly. I had a lot of fun writing my story last night. Well I have to go for today, but I shall talk more about my book tomorrow and update you all on my word count.
I bid you all adieu, for I shall see you all tomorrow for more news of my story!

Da da da da... da da da da Character description!
I decided that I am going to write two thousand words in my novel today and I will not go to sleep until I do. It is currently 11:23 a.m. and I am sitting in music appreciation. I promised you all a character description yesterday, so I shall give one to you all. We shall start with the main characters for today. I have to tell you though that more character traits will be discovered through time.
Abbygayle: She is princess by birth of the old kingdom of Lebentod. She is blonde haired and blue eyed and she is often mistaken for other people. If anything, she is not a Marysue character and does not need men to help her through life. She is a very independent character and a genius for her time.
Grandpapa: He is Abbygayle's father figure, for her father the crowned prince was killed the night of her birth. He is an aging old man who cares very much for the well being of his granddaughter and will do anything to protect her, although he fails to do so at times. He has greying brown hair and brown eyes.
Jonathan Bartholomew: He has dark brown hair that falls down over his face and has light blue eyes. He is very naive and is the source for most of the danger that Abbygayle gets into, besides for Kai. He is in love with Abbygayle.
Kai: He has light brown curly hair and navy blue eyes. He is infatuated with Abbygayle but his duty to Maviolo, the supreme dictator of Lebentod, comes first. He leads Abbygayle into her first real near-death experience.
There are no other characters that need to be known right now, partly because I don't even know the characters themselves. I will include more character descriptions as I introduce them or if they are fairly important. I bid you all adieu for now for I shall see you all again tomorrow with my next blog post! ^-^

I love "aha" moments, I should not be so happy
As a writer, I must say that when I have an "aha" moment I nearly explode. Last night my aha moment was how I am going to continue writing the rest of my 50,000 words! That is a great moment if you ask me. For the past few days I have been really worried on whether I will finish my quota of words every day and if I will really finish 50,000 words by November 29th. I think I need a cheer team, really truly.
I am extremely happy this morning though, would you all like to know why? If you do not want to hear you are still going to hear about this anyway! I am so many words ahead that I do not have to write that much today! I'll probably write about a thousand words though, which is still okay. So like I said in the subject of this blog, I should not be so happy.
Before explaining what my NaNoWriMo is, I believe I should explain what NaNoWriMo is in general. So, I shall explain... NOW. NaNoWriMo is a pretty cool word standing for National Novel Writing Month. It is a month where you... write a novel. It's pretty obvious isn't it? Well if it was not, now you know what it is right? The goal of NaNoWriMo, or national novel writing month, is to write 50,000 words between November 1st and November 30th. From Wikipedia: "No official prizes are awarded for length, quality, or speed. Anyone who reaches the 50,000 word mark is declared a winner. Beginning November 25, participants can submit their novel to be automatically verified for length and receive a printable certificate, an icon they can display on the web, and inclusion on the list of winners."
By golly, even though there is no formal prize, I am going to get that certificate. It just establishes my nerdy coolness a little bit more, right? I think so! I do not know where I would put the certificate, but gosh darn I will find a place for that sucker! I think that is something that would make my mother very proud, although this writing business is driving her insane.
I will give you all another piece of my life, mainly my story, when I come back with yet another funny blog post tomorrow. Today's was not very humorous, but I'm trying guys, really I am! Second thought, maybe I will give you all a character description tomorrow to introduce the characters I have so far! That sounds a lot better to me, so we will go with that.
I bid you all adieu for I will see you all again soon. :)

What in the world did I get myself into?
I am left in nothing more than a daze. My creativity has been on overload since this past Thursday and now I am speaking like someone who is extremely intelligent! What is this madness?!
November is possibly the scariest month of my life so far. It leaves all writers in this mindset that if they do not write at least 1,668 words a day that they are slacking. This is how I feel, and I'm overachieving. I.am.overachieving.for.the.first.time.in.my.life. Never in my life have I overachieved this greatly, but I plan to keep this up. What kind of nerds feel joy from overachieving, oh yeah right... THIS ONE.
I am at the point where I do not want to write today. I am sitting at 11,658 words. I have written so much that I technically do not even need to write my novel until tomorrow! So back to what I was saying, I am at the point where I do not want to write, it's not that my book is boring at all, it is just that I do not know how to continue the storyline of the book very well. I know I will be able to continue it, it is just the question of how... how will I write a spectacular story that will blow EVERYONE'S heads off!?
I decided that I was going to take a break, and by break I mean write this blog post. When I do tedious writing I always need something to balance it out. I know this post is not particularly funny today, but I needed a way to keep you guys up-to-date without clogging your news feeds with useless information about how I am not writing well today and how my word count is up to so much. At least I am far ahead though... that is all I ask.
I will be back tomorrow with more useless news that you all did not want to know anyway. I love you all, and I bid you adieu for I will see you very again soon.

The crazy musician, otherwise known as Rebecca, will give you an... *wait for it, wait for it!* INTRODUCTION!
*Stumbles into the magical world of blogging, then remembers she is still sitting in front of her laptop in her pajamas.*
Oh why... hello there. How did I end up here when I should be typing up a novel? I have a story for you all. It is quite an interesting story if you care to hear it. It all started about... two night ago. ( By the way, I love elipses!) I was just sitting on my couch which is a very appropriate place to write my novel, do not ask me why, because I do not know. I just find it very comfortable. So back to my story *direct your attention back to the screen please* It all started back on Thursday night. I had heard what NaNoWriMo was, but I really did not know a thing about it. This question in the back of my mind sparked my curiosity that would later leave me sitting on 10449 words in my novel!
So, like many of my great adventures start, I began with a simple facebook post. Just so you know, facebook does not seem as important when faced with 1,668 words to write a DAY! But back to the story! I start with a simple facebook post asking what NaNoWriMo is. I later find out what it is thanks to my wonderful friend Abbygayle. "I hope you're happy, I hope you're happy now, I hope you're proud how you've bribed me now with cookies, I hope you think you're clever." Okay, okay, the song does not go EXACTLY like that, I only changed one little line. Yes, I started my novel on Thursday night and on Friday I was bribed with... cookies. Yes, cookies.
Here's a little fun fact about me. I have this growing paranoia in the back of my mind that I am going to be killed. How you ask though? I have this growing fear that everyone is trying to make me fat, so they are giving me all this candy(as I sit here about to dent my Halloween candy once again) and all these cookies. They plan to make me so corpulent that I will not be able to defend myself when they kill me. Every writer has to have a fear... right? (there we go again with the elipses)
Back to my actual point now, I am on this great adventure, possibly the adventure of a life time. I am writing 50,000 words by the end of November. It seems scary at points, even though I've only been writing for almost two days. My biggest fear about this novel though is that I will run out of ideas. So I may need help along the way, and it is very much appreciated. I love you all for reading this. I bid you all adieu, and I will see you all again when I make another blog post.
Oh why... hello there.
