There are so many things that I want to cover in so little time. Some days, I wish that there were 48 hours in a day instead of just 24 so i could get everything I wanted to get done, done.
First thing I want to talk about is how much I love Shakespeare. One of the characters, who turned out to be Maviolo in disguise, quoted Shakespeare and I was so astounded by how amazing this character is... or was. Never mind that though! He said,"What is in a name that by which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?" That is my favorite line from my dear friend William, slightly cliche and not time period, but I needed to use it!
Second thing, I introduced Maviolo. Let us just say that I am completely in love with this new character. I cannot believe he is one of my mind children though, due to how violent and dastardly evil he is. He is someone that you do not want to mess with or cross at all for that matter. When I introduced him I was so ready to write a song and dance for him, and was about ready to when I realized that I was writing a novel, and not a musical. It would have raised my word count, but I'm going to have someone else sing a song, and that's okay too. I am looking forward to writing scenes between him and Abbygayle.
Third topic of discussion today before I completely abandon myself into this novel again, I have found the theme song for my novel. I was sitting here less than 15 minutes ago, writing my novel and listening to a song. As the music played I realized that the song i was listening to was the theme song that perfectly described my novel. It was the title of this blog post. The song How to Save a Life by The Fray is the theme song of the novel I am presently working on, now.
I am so excited to continue work on this novel having jumped over the hump of 25,000 words. I must say that reaching the first 25,000 words is extremely difficult, but after you have reached them it seems a lot easier. I'm over 26,000 words now!
I bid you all adieu for I shall see you all again with my next blog post.
